“Darling, if you want to talk bollocks and discover the meaning of life you’re better off just downing a bottle of whisky. At least that way you’re unconscious by the time you start to take yourself seriously!” - Patsy Stone
Pubs are like gas stations in the US. They are at almost every corner throughout the UK and part of most people's daily lives. Everyone has a local pub which typically acts like a second living room for some households. A few faves below, but no doubt you'll find your own favorite "local" along your travels.
Probably the most photographed pub in London, Churchill Arms is definitely worth a visit. The inside is as charming as the outside. The bar and restaurant are managed separately, so dont' come expecting traditional Brisith fare. The cuisine here is Thai food and does not disspoint.
The Orange Pub will bring down all your stresses instantly. Gorgeous menu and people with all the charm you want out of a British pub.
I plan my visits around a Sunday roast at Hillgate. It's a wonderful pub for any day, but if you find yourself in West London. on a Sunday, please come here for their lamb roast. The pub is nestled in the middle of the charming Notting Hill area with colored houses you've seen in countless photos.
A bit fancier than traditional pubs, Harwood Arms is a perfect place to come for a good meal in a classy pub atmosphere any day of th. week.
Fabulous pub specializing in craft beers and espresso martinis hidden off the main road amongst gorgeous row houses and behind Kensington Palace. The menu features traditional british favorites including delicious roasts on Sundays.
Adorable moody pub off the beaten path in Kensington. Expect to duck your head as ceilings are pretty low.
High tea is a funny one. It's no secret that Brits drink tea as a daily ritual, however, the formal high tea is not a event like it probably was before. That said, it's something to celebrate and worth checking off your list. Expect to pay a hefty price tag for the full experience, but you'll love every bite and sip.
Department Store with gorgeous tea room and high end food market.
Luxury hotel with matching traditional high tea in the gorgeous art deco lobby restaurant.
Everything you can expect from The Ritz and more. You'll feel just as fancy as the prices.
Quirky restaurant with a lovely afternoon tea service. Less traditional, but worth going.
Gorgeous high tea in the middle of the Corinthia atrium. Always filled with beautiful and huge fresh flower bouquets and very friendly service.
Quaint tea room off of the bustling Kensington High Street. No frills and more on the casual side serving delicious teas and cakes.
